Shireen Salti

Shireen Salti is the Interim Executive Director at the CAI providing organizational, operational, fundraising, and programmatic leadership and oversight to further CAI’s mission. 

Shireen has worked in the Ontario Public Service, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and Council of Ontario Universities in various policy positions and has volunteered with the Canadian Arab community over the years supporting the resettlement of newcomers in the GTA. Shireen is a graduate of York University and has a BA Honours in Business and Society, a Masters in Public Policy, Administration and Law, and a Graduate Diploma in Judicial Administration.

Raja Abdo

Raja Abdo is the Strategic Lead at the CAI supporting the development of long-term organizational strategy and planning, implementing and managing proposed recommendations and projects.

Raja is passionate about student supports in higher education and has worked for the Ontario Public Service, the University of Toronto, and is currently working as a Policy Advisor at Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council. Through volunteering for Lifeline Syria as well as the Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations Cultural Exchange and Support Initiative, Raja has supported Arab newcomers to Canada, particularly Syrian youth interested in pursuing educational opportunities in Toronto. He holds a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto.

Ghada Mandil

Ghada Mandil is the Research Advisor at the CAI conducting research and analysis on various topics relating to the Arab population in Canada.

Ghada has an Honors Bachelor of Science from McMaster University, and a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Guelph. Ghada has volunteered to support the resettlement of refugees in Ontario. Ghada has more than 4 years of experience working in the Ontario Public Service, and has worked in several provincial government ministries. She has experience in policy research, analysis, and development. 

Amira Hassan

Amira Hassan is the Graphic Designer at CAI. A designer at heart, Amira is an entrepreneur and graphic designer with a flare for modern aesthetics and colour. 

She believes that art, architecture and music are the most honest forms of storytelling told by the people for the people. Amira is a published designer with experience in international markets. She is currently running her own Design House. She’s a traveller. Put her on a plane and her world becomes a much better place. She loves to explore new countries, cultures, food and tradition. She also loves to bake. She likes infusing Arabic flavours in everything she serves.
